Job description

Arts & Science is seeking a talented Grants Administrator to join the Center on International Cooperation (CIC). The Center on International Cooperation (CIC) has a portfolio of 25+ grants (~$10M) from international government agencies, foreign foundations, and domestic foundations. The Grants Administrator supports all grant administration, including aspects of pre-award, post award, and award closeout for grants associated with the Center on International Cooperation (CIC). Act as a support to the Grants Manager on all grant administration and reporting needs, including consolidating program documents and budget documents. Work closely with the Grants Manager to prepare proposals and ensure grant reporting is completed in a timely manner; coordinate internal deadlines for proposal submissions, program and financial reports. Provide ongoing analytical support of grant budgets, transfers and expenditures.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, or related field. or
Required Experience:
3+ years experience in administrative roles in a nonprofit or NGO setting; budget, pre- and/or post-award grant, or data management experience
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain strong attention to detail while focusing on complex program/grant structures Ability to build and maintain positive relationships Analytical skills and ability to solve problems creatively Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to develop and interpret pivot tables Understanding of non-profit and/or academic funding and revenue Basic understanding of fund accounting concepts and GAAP, including expense accruals and revenue recognition requirements Interest in operating budgets and how grants play a role in a broader organizational budget
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
General familiarity with compliance issues related to grants, specifically grants from foreign governments and entities Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with complex Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF


In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,500.00 to USD $70,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
