Catholic Charities is hiring a Full-time (35 hours/week) CONTRACT AND GRANT ADMINISTRATOR to join our Financial Management Team of Catholic Charities in Buffalo

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to administer the comprehensive oversight of existing, renewal and new funding contracts, grants, service agreements, and MOUs to sustain and grow Catholic Charities' services. Serve as lead to research, disseminate, coordinate, and create, submit, receive, & maintain database of applications to secure state, county, and community foundation funding contracts, grants, service agreements, and MOUs. Lead routine internal funding team review discussions regarding both emerging and renewal funding opportunities. Create efficient, clear, and task-specific checklists/processes to ensure timely applications and reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources, grant funder parameters and priorities, policies and procedures
- Participate in networking groups to stay apprised of trends and opportunities
- Aggressively locate, research and present funding opportunities to match agency & service need
- Develop and deliver high-quality, compelling letters of intent and persuasive funding applications/reports
- Create and/or review all contracts, grants, service agreements, and MOUs
- Develop and maintain a central system and efficient processes for all documents required for contracts, grants, service agreements, and MOUs
- Maintain a shared database reflecting up-to-date tracking of awards, fully-executed contracts, grants, service agreements, and MOUs, reporting and application timeframes, and disseminate reminders regarding both report due dates and funding renewal timelines
- Oversee and maintain access to and utilization of multiple funding portals
- Maintain strong relations with Sr. Directors, COO, Development Team and program leaders to understand agency's goals and service needs for which to research and pursue funding, as well as to engage in strategic out-of-the box thinking regarding ways to best leverage revenue/reimbursement
- Serve as the administrative coordinator for the submission process, tracking deadlines, documents, communications and approvals.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum 2 years' experience with researching and developing funding applications- contracts, grants, service agreements, MOUs; 3-5 years' experience preferred
- Time management skills
- Familiarity/competency with 1115 Waiver preferred
- Demonstrated initiative and competency to work independently, organize time and tasks efficiently and effectively, handle multiple responsibilities, produce results, and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Grants Gateway, Grants Management, eGrants, NYS Contract Reporter, and/or SAMS preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel locally and meet with on-site program staff within the eight county WNY region.
- Demonstrate willingness and eagerness to understand program goals and objectives
