Overview:
We are seeking an outstanding rainmaker-type Grant Writer for a for-profit private university, who can acquire funding for our organization by being responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals. This is a crucial role that plays a key part in supporting our mission and ensuring the sustainability of our programs.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities
- Collaborate with program managers and president to consult in achieving a sure-fire grant-writing project to acquire funding.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization's goals and objectives
- Develop budgets and financial reports to accompany grant proposals
- Edit and revise grant proposals as necessary, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines
- Maintain a comprehensive database of grants, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Monitor progress of funded projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Assist with fundraising efforts by identifying additional funding sources
Requirements:
- Proven experience in grant writing with records of funding acquired
- Strong research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write persuasively and concisely
- Proficiency in financial report writing and budgeting
- Knowledge of grant application processes and requirements
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
