Summary:
The Grant Program Supervisor provides support to the NeuroMusculoskeletal Institute's Director/Administrator in all aspects of a grant, including but not limited to, budget, application process, reporting, and analytics. You will work closely with the entire project team to ensure all scopes of the project are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. This position requires organizational skills and excellent communication skills. This is a Grant Funded Position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating project schedules that capture project team involvement and determine the best course of action to ensure project goals are met
- Ensures that the strategic plan is followed and processes are complete
- Responsible for project or process reporting and tracking
- Submits grant proposals online and in hard copy according to grantors' requirements
- Adheres to RowanSOM's Office of Sponsored Programs protocols, which includes documentation and submission deadlines
- Participate in development and sustaining projects as assigned
- Support team in accomplishing key goals of project such as meeting report deadlines
- Ensures completion of activities and works within developed strategic plan
- Communicate effectively with the sponsor, project team, designated affiliates, and Rowan's Office of Sponsored Programs
- Calculate and budget project expenses; track and manage project spend to maintain budget expectations
- Identify sources of risk and create mitigation scenarios
- Identify methods, procedures, and processes to continuously improve the project
- Communicate effectively with the State, project team, and designated affiliates
- Develops technical documents which may include forms and basic grant proposals
- Enters and maintains grant information in a database system
- Participates in local, state, regional and national workshops, conferences and meetings
- Track, process and analyze data using Excel; compile statistical information and generate reports for federal, state and foundation funding agencies
- Assist in data collection, data entry and the compilation of summary data for educational and grant-related and/or departmental reporting
- Represent the NMI at project related meetings in addition to serve on project committees as needed or required as it relates to educational activities, resources, and programming
- Serves as liaison with University academic units (e.g. Grants and Contracts, IST, Center for Continuing Education, Rowan Global) and keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state, AOA, and University regulations, laws and policies to ensure education program compliance
- Utilize advanced computer skills in the preparation and supervision of all highly technical documents, manuscripts, and reports; training modules and curriculum materials; marketing materials, websites, newsletters and brochures; survey/ questionnaires, mail merges; posters, tables, slides, graphics, charts, spreadsheets, forms and other related documents
- Understands and adheres to Rowan SOM compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy
- When it comes to grant research and development, understands the University's Academic Integrity Policy; when submitting work that includes someone else's words, ideas, syntax, data or organizational patterns, the source of that information must be acknowledged through complete, accurate and specific references. All verbatim statements must be acknowledged through quotation marks and properly cited. To avoid a charge of plagiarism, a person must be sure to include an acknowledgment of indebtedness, such as a list of works cited or bibliography.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state, and University regulations and laws and policies as they currently exist and as they change or are modified.

Education and Experience:
Proven working experience as a project coordinator/supervisor, preferably in the healthcare sector. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. PMP / CSM certification is a plus. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Strong detail oriented organizational skills, demonstrates interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment. Effective oral and written communications skills and able to function in a team environment are a must. Experience with program planning and development required. Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate the efforts of a team in order to accomplish objectives. Knowledge and understanding of University organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
May be required to work off hours as needed to meet grant deadlines. Must be able to attend meetings in other buildings and at off-site locations. Travel will be required for grant activities located in Cumberland, Atlantic, and Cape May Counties, NJ. Travel to national conference for the grant is also required.
This is a Full-Time, Temporary Grant Funded position (for approximately 1.5 years).
