Grant Administrator

General Summary of Position
MedStar Health Research Institute has an immediate opportunity for a Grant Administrator to join our team.
Responsible for conducting pre and post award activities related to grants at MHRI. Works with PI's to prepare proposal packages and take the lead in submissions to outside sponsors. Takes the lead in drafting subaward documents and assuring that MHRI grants are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, health services or related discipline required, or
• an equivalent combination of training and experience or certification in grants administration required

Experience

• 5-7 years Progressive experience administering grants in an academic medical center setting, non-profit research institution, or federal agency preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
