Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Readies and maintains financial and business transactions as they apply to organizational grants. Coordinates financial activities associated with specific grant funded projects, including preparing, updating and maintaining various grant budgets. Applies accounting principles that include work that is analytical and evaluative in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice and its application to grants.
Responsibilities
Maintains general ledger in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Coordinates as well as assists in the preparation and analysis of grant financial statements and reports. Prepares budget versus actual and variance analysis for grant funds. With supervision, facilitates with department and program staff regarding special accounting, financial reporting or analysis projects relative to grant funding.

Education
Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Business/related
Experience
2-5 years
