This GTA position is for Fall Semester 2024.Job DescriptionThe position prepares for and teaches all aspects of the 2-credit hour UNIV 101 course. This includes preparation, instruction, tracking attendance, and assignment grading and feedback. Sections of UNIV 101 meet twice per week for 50 minutes all semester. GTAs will work 20 hours per week teaching and completing other related duties including office hours, assignment grading and feedback, and class preparation.Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a KU Master’s or PhD program
- Strong written and oral communication skills as demonstrated by application materials and interview.
- During the term of appointment, the person is in good academic standing and making satisfactory progress toward a graduate degree, as determined by the department in which the GTA is enrolled and by the Dean’s Office of the professional school or the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, as appropriate.
- College teaching experience
- Experience working with college students
- Documented participation in experiential learning, such as undergraduate research, service learning, and/or study abroad
