Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Graduate BIM Specialist to be based in New York, New York.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2024.

About AECOM Tishman

Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Report to MEP Project Manager and/or BIM Coordination Manager.
  • Assists the BIM Coordination Manager with meetings, clash detection, issue reporting, and tracking log creation.
  • Assists with creating and modifying 3D models, renderings and/or animations for promotion, proposals, and logistics.
  • Manage VDC technology initiatives that have been implemented to support project goals.
  • May help to create or maintain standards, processes, and goals.
  • Manage electronic file structure on cloud based file repository.
  • Interface between Design Consultants and Subcontracted BIM Drafters.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management or similar discipline or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with production, interpretation, and utilization of 3D modeling techniques.
  • Working knowledge of drawing production and standard construction techniques and principles.
  • AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Navisworks expertise.
  • Knowledge of Procore.
  • Knowledge of Revizto or similar BIM coordination software.

  • Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  The hourly range for this position is $26.12/hr - $45.72/hr.
