Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician who lives in the Metropolitan New York area to join our team. As a Vehicle Technician, you will perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on various types of GPS Telematics equipment. This hands-on role requires vehicle mechanical knowledge and the ability to use both hands and power tools.

Responsibilities:

• On-site installation, repair, and service tasks for GPS tracking devices, dash camera systems, as well as other fleet-related 12volt electronics
• Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
• Providing service and customer support during field visits
• Serving existing and new accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedules, investigating complaints, conducting tests, and resolving problems
• Submitting timely and detailed field data via a tablet computer application
• Documenting service and installation actions through mobile forms, reports, logs, and records
• Building positive customer relationships with open, direct communication

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience as a 12-volt Vehicle Technician or in a similar role

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools

- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Job requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work quickly without supervision
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and shifts
• Must be able to work varied hours, including some weekends and overtime, to meet customer product availability timelines
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods, climb ladders, and lift more than 50 pounds either with or without reasonable accommodation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• English literacy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.80 - $27.64 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
