This is a hybrid position that allows for remote work but does require the individual to come into the office at least 2-days per week. This important role is responsible for: * Securing funding for Venice Family Clinic’s operations and capital needs through prospect research, writing and timely submission of high-quality, compelling letters of inquiry, proposals and grant reports to new and existing government funders and private foundations. * Secure and renew between $1 million to $1.5 million in public and private grants annually. * Maintain a portfolio of funders and work as part of grants team that raises over $3 million annually. * Work closely with VFC’s senior management team, finance team, operations team, government contacts and departments across Venice Family Clinic that are funded by Government Grants and contracts. Required: * Bachelor’s degree * Outstanding writing, analytical and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrate a genuine interest in and knowledge about providing quality health care to medically underserved communities. * Proficiency in basic computer software, applications and functionality including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Internet. * Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and organizational abilities. * Ability to prioritize and work independently to meet deadlines. * Ability and willingness to work overtime if needed. Strongly Preferred: * Two to five years of experience in grant writing, preferably in health or human services. * Experience securing and managing federal government grant funding.
