Job Title Golf Pro Shop Retail Associate
Position Summary:
Assists Golf Shop Manager with shop operations and meets the needs of members and guests.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Keep shop clean including dressing rooms.
- Greets customer on sales floor and determines make, type and quality of merchandise desired.
- Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customer’s needs and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility.
- Demonstrates use of merchandise.
- Helps with tournament information with members and assist in coordination of special events.
- Estimates quantity of merchandise required to fill customer’s need.
- Wraps and bags merchandise for customer.
- Takes inventory of stock on a monthly or as needed basis.
- Requisitions merchandise from stockroom.
- Examines defective article returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made.
- Opens and closes computers on a daily basis.
- Prepares daily sales recap for Accounting Dept.
- Answers telephone in a polite, professional and timely manner.
- Uses computer database to research availability of merchandise.
- Processes Special Orders.
- Books lessons and court reservations as needed.

- Computer experience necessary
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
- Retail experience preferred

Education & Work Experience Requirements:
· GED or High School diploma preferred
· Golf or Golf Retail knowledge preferred
· Additionally, must have knowledge of basic computer functions and a working knowledge of the following software programs, Tournament, Handicap, Retail, Microsoft Word, along with developing skills in our graphics software as well.
