Laurel Oak Country Club, a private member-owned Golf and Country Club located in beautiful Sarasota, FL is seeking a Spray Technician to join our team!
Laurel Oak Country Club features two championship Golf Courses, state of the art tennis, swim center with Olympic size pool along withy ear round casual and formal dining, offering our members and guests a truly memorable culinary and dining experience.
$18.50 + depending on experience
This is a full-time position with medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as 401k with company match and paid time off.
Must possess a current FL Pesticide Applicator License or have the ability to obtain one within 90 days at the Club’s expense.

Job purpose
To spray and pull weeds in the landscape beds located throughout the Golf Course to maintain a clean and weed free appearance. The Technician needs to wear appropriate PPE at all times. The Technician will also keep inventory of chemicals used and report quantities to the supervisor. The Technician reports to the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the upkeep of landscape beds.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the chemical room, spray tanks, and vehicle.
- Maintains chemical inventory and spray log.
- Responsible for the upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of the spray tanks used to apply chemicals.
- Spray or pull weeds depending on size, location, variety.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment. Report damaged or worn out equipment to supervisor.
- Maintain a clean Golf Course and maintenance complex.
- Demonstrate courtesy to all Members and guests at all times.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Two years of Golf Course maintenance spray tech experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
