Job Description
· The starter/player assistant should welcome players with the appropriate greeting.
· Starter/player assistant should direct players to tee giving them a complete orientation (behind time, course conditions, location of first or tenth tee, course rules, player assistants, location of restrooms, beverage cart, course markings, anticipated pace of play, etc.).
· The starter/player assistant should be cordial and accommodating in keeping the tee on time.
· The starter/player assistant should have friendly contact with each player/group a minimum of 1 time per nine while on the course.
· The pace of play should be monitored in a friendly, tactful manner.
· The starter/player assistant should explain any on-course issues to all groups affected by the situation.
· While on the course monitoring of pace of play, the starter/player assistant should pick up trash and fill divots with sand without interrupting play.
