Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrate strong safety culture and visible felt leadership with your team and contractors through weekly interactions and inspections at active drill sites
• Design and assist with delineation drilling programs, track and report weekly/monthly intercepts and progress, and forecast of outstanding work
• Manage RC and Core drilling programs for multiple rigs in a fast-paced underground environment
• Integrate drill plans into mine production plans and coordinate drilling platform availabilities with the mine engineering team.
• Supervise/Participate in geological logging of diamond core and RC chips
• Validate drilling data; including assay results, downhole survey, geology logging and QAQC and other data collected during drilling
• Develop, present, and manage drilling budgets.
• Manage teams of drilling contractors and mentor Junior Geologists

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required
• 7+ years experience working as an Exploration or Drilling Geologist required
• Excellent safety record required
• Ability to lead and work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
• Familiarity with logging diamond core and RC chips required
• Familiarity with Leapfrog, Deswik, Vulcan, and AcQuire software preferred
