Job Description Summary
The Global Product Manager is responsible for managing a high growth product category within the Global Peripheral IV Catheter business. The Product Manager works as a member of the Global PIVC Marketing team to support the development and execution of global marketing strategies including the Annual Strategy Review process, marketing plans and Global Product launch plans. The Global PM supports a cross-functional business team to ensure success of his or her products including market development activities, ensuring consistency in product supply and remaining current on all quality items. The position will work closely with R&D and other cross-functional teams on sustaining engineering efforts to ensure alignment to customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • The Global PM is responsible for managing and driving growth within the Outcomes Driven Business Segment.
  • Owns the development and execution of the Global Marketing Plan and Global Launch Plans for their respective product portfolio by supporting or conducting market analysis, competitive analysis, and customer research.
  • Demonstrates strong business and marketing acumen to conduct market assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Works with cross functional regional teams to develop, adapt, and execute strategic marketing plans throughout multiple markets taking into account specific cultural and regional considerations.
  • Identifies, develops and delivers needed marketing promotions, programs, sales tools, technical/research resources to ensure sales growth and market development for multiple product lines.
  • Develops market-specific outcome grounded strategic marketing plans, including specific value propositions, to inform long term direction for all non-U.S. markets.
  • Identifies and develops marketing programs, sales tools, pricing, positioning and promotions for product portfolio.
  • Identifies, quantifies and develops new market and product opportunities (e.g. NPD products), taking into account specific country needs. Acts as the liaison between marketing teams, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze market dynamics, including identifying and developing plans to reduce barriers, and prioritize plans (market development). Focused on growing and developing markets.
  • Drive best practice sharing across countries and regions.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and execute innovative locally tailored approaches to market development (e.g., new products, new business models, etc.).

Qualifications
  • High-energy team player with a proven track record of directing new product development and leading project teams
  • Proven leadership experience in directing successful product launches: including writing and executing the marketing plan
  • Experience taking a product from concept to global launch
  • Experience analyzing business opportunities and developing strategies
  • Experience entering/developing new markets
  • Analytical ability
  • Strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle complexity and manage several tasks at one time
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in Product Management or Upstream Marketing preferred; preferably in Medical Devices
