The Global Operations team works to help Meta understand our global communities’ expectations and utilizing this understanding, actively shape and develop products and tools to align with these needs. Some of these teams include:Scaled Operations: Serve communities and businesses globally by building world-class capabilities for Global Operations and enabling the industry’s most balanced workforce.Global Risk Operations: Advocate for and protect every person, community and business from risk.Product Data Operations: Manages the end-to-end process of creating high-quality datasets for machine learning and other product development use cases.Legal and Compliance Operations: To uphold trust in Meta by advancing global legal compliance through innovative and expert operations. We are seeking driven Interns to join our Global Operations team to improve our products by understanding and addressing our users' needs and experiences. Candidates should be passionate problem-solvers, strong advocates for the Meta community, and able to align cross-functional partners to ensure the best possible experience on our platforms. Strong critical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive team strategy using macro-level insights. Join us in helping people and creating consistent experiences on our platforms at scale.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to navigate situations of cross-functional partnerships on mission critical operational issues spanning policy, product, user operations, engineering, and other interdependent teams. This is a 12 week summer intern position.
- Cultivate relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape, support, and execute product or project goals
- Identify and share insights and learnings to develop scalable solutions
- Use problem solving skills to resolve large and complex business problems
- Support new ideas through experimentation, ad hoc analytics, and framework development
- Apply solid judgment regarding support needs across multiple competing priorities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, an MBA degree
- 1+ years project management or program management experience
- Experience prioritizing among conflicting demands
- Experience working independently and taking initiative
- Experience analyzing and solving problems
- Experience working both independently and in team environments
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data tools
- Experience with Excel
- SQL/data experience
- 2+ years of work experience in business strategy or consulting
- 2+ years experience in a project management, management consulting, or similar strategic role
- 2+ years of work experience in role involving strategic/analytical initiatives (project management, operations, consulting experience, data analysis or technical systems)
- Experience in a rapidly changing tech or startup environment
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
