About the Job
As Managing Director, Global Insurance Industry, you will be responsible for owning the strategic direction and market outcomes for Genesys go-to-market (GTM) in the insurance industry. You will lead a team of insurance industry experts, collectively supporting Sales Account Executives to deliver on this strategy, as well as aligning cross-functional resources within Genesys such as Marketing and Professional Services. You will be empowered to develop and execute global, regional, and localized GTM plans in partnership with our Global field sales, industry and channel teams. Success will be measured by increased Genesys' penetration of and revenue growth in the Insurance market.
About You
  • You have exceptional experience in insurance and understand its business drivers, KPIs, product/market fit, value chain, trends and opportunity/threat matrix.
  • You can articulate how experience delivery, to both consumers and employees, translates to business outcomes, KPIs and value creation.
  • You come to this knowledge with a proven track record of selling / consulting to insurance companies and/or as a highly effective leader in the insurance industry.
    • As a sales / consulting professional, you have a diverse portfolio of pleased customers, a history of exceeding targets and building high-performance teams.
    • As an insurance leader, you have built an industry network, internalized your company's success factors, and led initiatives to simplify & accelerate business.
  • You have successfully delivered in a global role by being flexible with your schedule and having cultural awareness as you collaborate with local team members.
  • You have successfully delivered when leading cross-functional teams, by taking outcome ownership and balancing empathy & accountability with team members.
  • You have a track record in building successful relationships with large BPO's, GSI's and Technology Companies to create and execute new GTM plans.
  • You use foresight and creativity to envision "art of the possible" implications by integrating a diverse portfolio of perspectives data and inferences.
  • You have exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Executive presence demonstrated by excellent and energetic public speaking skills across scenarios (e.g., customer 1-on-1, 1-to-Many Events, executive briefings, etc.).
  • You naturally build trusted and long-running relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • You are a positive, motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude & strong sense of ownership over their engagements. Willingness to do the heavy lifting to get to a better result more quickly. Enthusiastic collaborator.
  • You are an exceptional influencer and skilled at operating with C-suite stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and execute the Genesys GTM strategy for the insurance industry through direct engagement and influence.
  • Proactively brainstorming target customers, potential engagements & insertion plans in partnership with field sales leadership.
  • Collaborating on mutual success plans with insurance prospect/partner to migrate legacy contact centre experience solutions to Genesys Cloud.
  • Collaborating with the Genesys executive team to develop effective sales strategies and business expansion plans.
  • Creating and expanding access to senior customer leaders & decision makers, especially by creating business relevance outside of traditional contacts in IT & Contact Center
  • "Showing up differently" with customers. Engaging in peer-level discussions about their business outcomes and their deliverables in the language of insurance & its functions
  • Articulating and customizing global best practices, industry trends & benchmarks to deliver strategic presentations, advise and influence. As a team, scale that knowledge through Genesys & Genesys partners:
  • Maintaining updated points of view on insurance trends and opportunities
  • Creating sales enablement artifacts to scale down market, different geographies, etc.
  • Capturing "Voice of the Customer" feedback for all functions: account team, product development, strategy, etc
  • Providing your expertise to support any area of the company as needed
    (e.g., strategy, partner / developer evaluation, thought leadership)
  • Being influential in industry-specific forums, tradeshows, institutions, etc. to expand Genesys' industry recognition & credibility.
  • Leading & elevating a team of insurance industry experts to assist you and Genesys in the execution of these responsibilities

Industry Experience and Requirements:
  • Industry recognized brand and/or relationships. 10+ years of relevant experience as a consultative seller and/or direct practitioner with demonstrated expertise in the insurance market. Participation in relevant industry associations is a strong positive.
  • Ability and desire to becomes hands on with the industry experience executives as well as engaging with customers.
  • Strong familiarity with customer & employee experience delivery in a insurance context, with knowledge of underlying platforms a strong plus (e.g., CCaaS, AI...)
  • Knowledge of insurance selling and contracting process.
  • Strong executive presence, organizational skills and track record of consistent quota attainment & over achievement.
  • Based in the US with ability to travel, for business priorities, up to 50%.
  • Prior experience working in a global role.

Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$164,300.00 - $322,500.00
