The Director of Residences/ Estate Manager will be a New York City based position responsible for overseeing the Principal’s multiple properties, which are currently located in New York and Florida; this may expand to include other states or countries. The position requires the ability to implement and ensure continuity and consistency of operations, standards, and services across all properties. The position requires traveling between New York City and Florida on a regular basis (monthly), as well as traveling with the Principal nationally and internationally as needed.
The role requires extensive knowledge of staff responsibilities, projects, and timelines, including providing reports and budgets to the Principal and CFO. This role requires knowledge and management of security for the Principal and family, properties, and staff for all locations.
The Director of Residences will oversee, manage, and collaborate with the Estate Manager(s) to oversee projects, cleanliness, safety, and consistency of all homes and properties.
The Director of Residences will work closely with Human Resources (and the Estate Manager in FL) to hire, terminate, onboard, train, discipline, review, and various othe staff activities. Staff oversight may include Estate Managers, Property Managers, Chefs, Housekeepers, Security, Drivers, Dog Walkers, and various Assistants. Currently this position will be the Director of 10 employees in New York City and 16 employees in Fort Lauderdale (subject to change).
This position requires superb judgment, emotional intelligence, and a positive attitude in an everchanging environment. It also requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills. SALARY: Starting at 170K
HOURS: Full-time M-F 830am - 530pm; weekends as needed
