Sabre seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist with the implementation of internal and external organizational communications. The primary focus of the Global Digital Communications Intern role is to support and help execute a variety of intranet engagement and social media strategies. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of communications and digital marketing while working in a casual, yet fast-paced, hybrid work environment. Reporting to the Director of Strategic and Executive Communications, this internship role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Internal Communications, Marketing and Public Relations) to meet business objectives and amplify a differentiated brand story.
The Communications Intern will help plan communications strategies, programs or activities that address specific business issues or employee needs and achieve desired results. This role will also develop well-crafted written material for a variety of audiences and through various communication channels. The Communications Intern will help identify, conceptualize, and execute social media campaigns to boost engagement, educate and inform Sabre's audience about the company's product offerings or recent announcements.
Job Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the back-end content management system for SabreSync, our team member intranet
    • Write and publish articles for home page
    • Drive team member engagement with content
  • Manage the creation and distribution of bi-weekly SabreSync recap broadcast
  • Explore new features to implement: Enhanced notification exploration (pop-ups) / personalization + any new features we could utilize to improve engagement in support of our 2024 intranet strategy
  • Review SabreSync to maximize user experience (cross-linking opportunities, decreasing click-throughs, optimizing for mobile, etc.)
  • SabreSync monthly analytics reporting
  • Learn and manage Emplify, our social media management platform
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes
  • Collaborate with PR, Communications and business unit teams to assist with social story development; Craft initial drafts and facilitate organizational announcements and business update communications
  • Curate, review and upload culture-related social media posts

Skillsets & Experience
Interest in developing communications strategies through various channels, with a hyper focus on our intranet and social media channels
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in related field, with a graduation date later than August 2024
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, with the ability to creatively tell stories and adjust tone and style based on communication channel
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Website management experience a plus, but not required
  • Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software, such as Facebook Insights or LinkedIn Analytics, to track audience engagement and campaign performance
  • Interested in social media trends and communication best practices
  • Strong personal communications skills; ability to interact with and influence people at all levels
  • Able to set priorities, be driven and excel with minimal handholding
  • Keen attention to detail, strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Must have an affinity for the travel and technology industry
  • An outgoing and engaging personality; loves to collaborate and have fun!
