Glazier Apprentice And Estimator

We are hiring an apprentice to learn the glass trade. We are a growing glass contractor with projects both in residential and commercial. Our residential projects include showers, windows, doors, mirrors, and glass railing installs. For our commercial projects we install office partitions, sliding door systems, storefront glass. We are non union but participate in prevailing wage jobs. Experience preferred but not required. This is an entry level position, and we are willing to train the right candidate. Hours may be able to work around your schedule.

General Construction experience required. Must be physically capable of lifting substantial weight for extended periods of time, and work through problems efficiently. Using power tools safely is a must.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
• Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
• Be able to lift 50+ pounds, as needed.

The ideal candidate will assist with light office functions including typing up invoices for clients and keeping electronic job files organized. This requires:

• Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
• Being self-directed with a high level of initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Committed to delivering outstanding customer service
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and attitude at all times
• Posses high business ethics such as honesty and reliability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
