Gl Accountant

The Role:

• Prepare monthly journal entries, with a primary focus on Cash Activity, spanning multiple entities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to ensure comprehensive treatment of Non-AP Transactions in the GL Ledger each month.
• Contribute to monthly close activities, including financial reporting and fluctuation analysis.
• Generate schedules required for audit and tax purposes.
• Reconcile payments applied to cash receipts.
• Work closely with AR and Revenue Departments to enhance the recording of Service Revenue.
• Assist in the preparation and enhancement of monthly bank reconciliations.
• Contribute to the implementation of processes and controls in alignment with SOX compliance.
• Undertake special projects and handle ad hoc assignments as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the publicly traded automotive industry or manufacturing sector.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to build strong partnerships and influence effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $56.00 per hour
