The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is seeking a GIS Analyst to join the GIS team.

What will you do?
Research and verify incoming and existing addresses; Enter assigned addresses into Auditor's database and countywide system; Develop and maintain contacts within local municipalities, address authorities, and other county offices and agencies to gather inputs for accurate address data.
Answers customer inquiries and creates/updates maps and data and reports for the general public, businesses, Auditor's Office, and other county-related requests; maintains good communications with customers and works to resolve issues in mapping, photography, and GIS data; Creates and maintains accurate records; Supports tasks for GIS users; understands and explains Franklin County GIS data and mapping.
Performs data analysis, maintenance, and conversion of spatial data utilizing GIS technology. Maintains and organizes files and data for and highly complex projects and tasks; Performs property-related research for Appraisal, Real Estate, and other divisions.
Implements quality controls for departmental data; Designs Geodatabases and other GIS file formats, creates, updates, and converts geospatial data for use with other county datasets.
Who should apply?
We encourage individuals with possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in geography, engineering, planning, data sciences, GIS or related discipline; four (4) or more years of related experience and/or training or any combination of training, education, or experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
