General Responsibilities
Responsible for Gift Processing, and some financial management in support of the office of development.
Work Performed
Manages Gift Processing, including: processing donor contributions for accounting and data management purposes, general financial record keeping for deposits, daily receipt deposits, monitoring outstanding pledges and preparing pledge reminders, correspondence, receipts and associated gift acknowledgement
Understands and develops specific daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual reporting processes in conjunction with the database associate and foundation accounting manager.
Prepares data extractions as needed; assists in researching and compiling information from databases necessary for fundraising purposes.
Assists in the execution of a cultivation plan as it relates to utilization of the database's major donor module, communication management module and associated database resources with appropriate staff.
Maintains acknowledgement letters in communications management.
Assists with audit preparation.
In coordination with the appropriate staff, responds to internal requests for donor information.
Volunteers at fundraising events.
Edits and proofreads all correspondence and reports.
Prioritizes multiple project assignments, requiring a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Continually updates skills for increased proficiency in Colleague and associated databases utilized in the office as it relates to the identification, cultivation and stewardship of donors.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skills.
Previous database management and Excel.
Ability to interact tactfully and deal effectively with others to provide accurate and timely documents.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of proofreading techniques.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Overtime/compensatory time may be required.
Ability to effectively edit own work before typing and to proofread.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the development office conflict of interest policy.
Ability to work effectively with others in a work group environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Regular attendance is a requirement of this job.
Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.

Employees in positions that do not require a bachelor's degree must participate in The Pension. Employees that possess a bachelor's degree and hold professional positions that require a bachelor's degree may choose to participate in either The Pension or The ORP.
