Job Description
Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join their team . In this role our client is looking for someone with a background in Construction Quality Control Testing and Inspection engineering.
Skills and Experience:
-A BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required
-5+ years of engineering experience
-PE License required
-Project Management in construction quality control testing experience desired
-Geotechnical soil lab experience desired
-QA/QC construction oversight experience
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Provide construction monitoring/on-site engineering observation for construction projects
-Perform site reconnaissance to observe existing conditions, assess site access for subsurface explorations, and identify important site features
-Conduct construction quality control engineering analyses
-Compile, reduce, analyze, manage, and report field, instrumentation, geological, and/or environmental data, using spreadsheets and other tools
-Use of various geotechnical, testing, and environmental instrumentation and equipment
-Support preparation of written reports, proposals, cost estimates, and other client deliverables
