Geospatial Sales Engineer

Navagis is a Google Cloud Premier Partner based in the US with offices in San Francisco, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines. Navagis is a Location Intelligence company that empowers organizations to leverage geospatial information to efficiently run their operations via web and mobile applications. Navagis software solutions are built using Google Maps and Google Cloud technologies to power a wide range of Mobility and Location Visualization applications.

To expand our US operations, we are in need of a Geospatial Sales Engineerto join our fast-growing team.

Your Role:

• Specialize in demonstrating Navagis and Google geospatial solutions including Google Earth Engine and Google Map to existing and prospective customers.
• Work in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical resource on geospatial products and services.
• Recommend and investigate solution concepts using Navagis core technologies that will address customer requirements.
• Capture business requirements and technical requirements and explain them to solution developers.
• Capture the vision of customer-side operations, customer technology directions, and customer financial goals.
• Take responsibility over proof-of-concept software including coordination with solutions developers.
• Demonstrate and explain the technical aspect of Navagis solutions to any potential customer.
• Primary responsibilities include configuration and management of various geospatial applications and databases.
• Preparation and configuration of Navagis and Google geodatabases and map services to support demonstration and proof of concepts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, ideally in studies related to Geospatial Engineering and/or any related field
• Proven technical experience in GIS and a sound understanding of data management and software development.
• Experience with Google Earth Engine or similar GIS systems including ESRI, Python experience, including the language itself and libraries (e.g. Flask, Django) and geospatial libraries (e.g. ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, geopandas,)
