Key Responsibilities

· Preference given to candidates with OSHA HAZWOPER training

· The position is approximately over 98% field work

· Field activities include; instrumental readings, logging of soil borings and rock cores, collecting soil, groundwater, surface-water and sediment samples as well as documenting field activities

· Will oversee remediation contractors and collect data from soil and groundwater remediation systems

· Office activities may include analysis and interpretation of analytical results and assistance with the preparation of site assessment reports

· Will do field mapping and map preparation and maintain spreadsheets/databases, prepare charts, conduct routine scientific calculations and run computer programs

· Will follow company safety standards, participate in safety training and prepare and implement site safety plans

· Work independently reporting to various locations throughout the work areas. All travel costs reimbursed.

Skills / Qualifications

· BS in Env Science, Geology, Geosciences, Engineering, Physics or related degree preferred

· 0 to 3 years + environmental field experience preferred

· 40-hour HAZWOPER OSHA Training desired but not required

· Experience collecting soil/water/air samples and interpreting results a plus

· Must be a self-starter with good written and verbal communication skills

· Attention to detail and strong time management capabilities required

· Will be required to lift equipment and carry laboratory samples

· Ability and willingness to travel to project sites in Missouri and surrounding states preferred

· Must pass drug test, annual physicals/trainings, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving policy

Physical Requirements

· Must be physically fit for field work in outdoor environments

· Able to lift 40 lbs.

Benefits

· Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm

· Pay starts at $35/hr based on experience; fulltime 40 hours a week, holiday pay, and sick time benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
