- Provides direct support to the Human Resources Department.
- Tactfully and responsibly handles sensitive employee information.
- Facilitates employment-related processes for new and current employees.
- Regularly tracks and manages record database for all internal and field personnel (500+ employees).
- Oversees and tracks all sick, vacation and benefit accruals and usage. Works closely with third-party payroll provider (i.e., Entertainment Partners) and the Accounting Department to verify employee vacation, sick and leave days.
- Advises staff on leave policies and requests for time off.
- Maintains handbooks, company safety policies, and compliance materials.
- Reviews monthly benefits enrollment and eligibility reports to ensure accurate tracking of employee benefits eligibility, enrollments, and terminations.
- Familiarizes new and current employees with company policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Maintains relationships with key employees to ascertain necessary production and employee information including employment start dates, rates, and end dates.
- Maintains multiple tracking spreadsheets simultaneously.
- Recruits, schedules interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, state and federal leaves, safety, and compliance.
- Addresses employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Provides employee history, rate checks, and employment status for inquiring supervisors.
- Provides verbal phone confirmation for employee verification checks, as well as completing written verifications.
- Researches and maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and recent technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Completes various tasks and projects as needed for the Senior Director, Human Resources.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of HR Generalist experience.
- Ability to multi-task and manage several ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must be comfortable with the Macintosh Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of the entertainment industry
- Great follow-through and the ability to anticipate upcoming work needs.
- Comfortable communicating with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be extremely self-motivated and comfortable working independently and in a group setting.
