General Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver

We are seeking a qualified Warehouse Worker to help in the daily operation of the warehouse and assist in fulfilment and processing of orders. The products and services that we offer have made us a local and nationwide leader in the commercial and industrial sectors. Our ideal Warehouse Worker will take pride in operating accurately, quickly and efficiently. We are seeking a quick learner with strong listening and communication skills, and someone well versed in a high-volume warehouse environment. Often tasked with deadlines and evolving problems that arise in a small business environment, it’s essential that our General Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver be reliable and professional.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Move inventory and materials throughout the warehouse/showroom as needed.
- Process inventory for deliveries/pickups.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location.
- Package and label items safely and correctly.
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
- Stack and organize large bulk items.
- Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories as needed to maintain a high-volume warehouse.
- Keep accurate logs and documentation for inventory processing and auditing.
- Assist with inventory as needed, accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure safety measures are being adhered to and safety equipment is being utilized.
- Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks timely, efficiently and accurately.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors and fellow employees.
- Build and construct stock items as needed.
- Keep warehouse and subsequent work areas clean and tidy and free of debris.
- Make deliveries or pick-ups to or from customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow all laws and rules of the roadway.
- Assist customers with loading or unloading as needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Able to pass drug test/background check.
- Physically able to sit, stand, move, squat, walk and climb during the course of the shift.
- Forklift certification required. Must be able to pass fork lift driving test.
- Previous experience working with inventory software. Knowledge of logistics, BOL, PO’s.
- At least one year of previous warehouse/delivery driver experience is required.
- Physically able to lift, carry, push, pull or guide up to 50 pounds or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and pertinent software applications.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and monitors quality/quantity of inventory.
- Highly organized and able to store items efficiently.
- Valid Driver’s License and Insurance. Proof of both will be required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to properly prioritize.
- An honest and reliable employee that enjoys working within the industry.
