What you will do:

• Maintain and update department Training Plans and records
• Participate in FRA inspections, BOE audits and other inspections/audits.
• Maintain DOT and FRA records
• Develop weekly schedules and manage overtime requirements
• Review and approve overtime
• Review, update, and maintain SOPs
• Maintain trucks and rail scale calibrations and associated paperwork

• Coordinate and schedule daily maintenance activities by managing regulatory, project, production, and safety system activities to provide a productive maintenance program and to ensure the reliability of operating equipment
• Support area Turnarounds, Start-Ups, and Shutdowns by ensuring needed resources are available to support maintenance and operations groups as needed
• Work with area Operations and Maintenance Departments in accomplishing this responsibility
• Recommend area reliability improvements as well as optimizing Maintenance activities
• Review, approve, and reject Work Requests, set maintenance work priority, and revise Work Orders for overall area requirements
• Support and enforce the work management process and ensure consistency across site
• Audit Work Requests to ensure that indicated work is essential and adds value to the process area
• Schedule, make adjustments, and coordinate all maintenance work including emergency work
• Review maintenance work activities with Operations Supervisors to ensure equipment is available for planned maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance of predictive maintenance equipment, instruments, relief valves, interlocks, outage preparation, PSM requirements for Safety and Quality, Tap Roots, HAZOPS, Title V compliance, customer complaint audits and insurance audits, to ensure work is performed in a timely manner
• Authorize maintenance overtime when required and prioritize work to manage maintenance costs
• Ensure MOC's are approved before work begins when an MOC is required
• Give input for developing operating and maintenance budget
• Manage employees under his/her responsibility
• Leadership will play a key role in this position by
  • Provide leadership to shift supervisors and other Nutrien employees and contractors as instructed
  • Demonstrating leadership skills through coaching and developing the shift supervisors within the team to higher levels
  • Influencing management by participating in problem solving and organizational review as subject matter experts
  • Operating with a level of autonomy to conceptualize, plan, implement and evaluate operational risk control and management processes
  • Making high-level judgments by actively collaborating with other functional disciplines e.g Engineering, E&I, SHE , Maintenance etc
  • Monitoring progress towards achievement of operational and site KPIs/PMs Actively engaging in performance management including employee development

What you will bring:

• High school diploma or Equivalent, Required
• Bachelor's Business Management or Engineering, Preferred
• 5 - 10 years of experience in the Industrial Manufacturing or related field
• 3-5 years of Supervisory experience with Direct Reports
• Technical skills pertaining to the job and the ability to make decisions
• Experience in rail operations and DOT/FRA requirements, Required
• Familiar with administrative and record-keeping procedures in all areas (safety, environmental, quality)
• Safety Oriented
