Role Summary:
The General Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. The General Manager may also be required to open and close the restaurant. This role ensures success in the following areas:
- Daily activities related to production and restaurant operations.
- Financial stewardship management through food cost, labor cost and repairs & maintenance.
- Leadership and people development.
General Responsibilities:
- Execute all operational systems daily to ensure a clean, organized restaurant, prepared to deliver quality food and service.
- Drive sales growth mentality and foster an environment of exceptional service and hospitality.
- Provide appropriate and effective training for all team members - ensure all certifications are complete and in compliance.
- Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership by example.
- Perform coaching, counsel, and discipline for actions that do not meet Zaxby's standards - execute disciplinary documentation and action for all team members who fail to meet expectations.
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards - understand and enforce federal and local health code regulations.
- Complete daily and weekly administrative duties such as employee scheduling, financial reconciliation, financial data record keeping, weekly sales reports and applicant/employee record management.
- Ensure all team members are knowledgeable of the policies and procedures by constantly asking questions, testing and monitoring their performance and giving timely feedback.
- Complete, manage and track vendor orders/inventory effectively and efficiently.
- Effectively care for facilities and equipment through the use of detailed equipment cleaning and care schedules.

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience as a leader in food service operations – General Manager experience preferred.
