About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a General Manager to manage a busy pet resort that offers top of market pet care in a safe and clean environment. You will be joining a team of pet lovers who take care of pets while the pet parents are out and about. You will ensure our pet resort is a fun and reliable home away from home for all pets who stay at our pet resort. We need your help to ensure we have an all hands (and paws!) on deck approach to ensure we are operating efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
· Team Leadership: As the General Manager, you set the tone for creating a happy workplace that fosters inclusion and engagement of everyone on your team. We will rely on you to hire, train and motivate a team of amazing pet associates to provide an unforgettable customer experience.
· Customer Engagement: Leading the team when it comes to engaging with pets and pet parents. Spend time getting to know each of our visitors, including their unique personalities, and ensure it's a great experience that will keep them coming back to play!
· Safety: Our client's pets become our own while they are in our care, so their safety is our top priority. As the Assistant Manager, you will foster a happy, healthy, and clean environment for pets and associates, including regular policy audits.
· Operational Efficiency: As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient operational model at your Pet Resort. We are looking to you for process improvements in all areas of the operation to ensure the resort runs effectively and efficiently, from P/L to staffing.
About You
The ideal candidate is an awesome people manager, preferably with the following experience:
· People leadership experience and familiar with hiring, scheduling and performance management
· Experience managing a pet resort
· Growth mindset - wanting to grow in your career as well as grow your team
· Must LOVE dogs! We have a lot of them!
