We are expanding and looking for people to join our team in the DMV and beyond! As a General Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in stores across different metros (Maryland, DC, Virginia). The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the efficient and profitable operations of the store–ensuring cleanliness, safety and a well-stocked inventory and providing remarkable Customer Service. This position is also responsible for profits and losses, inventory, sales promotion execution and merchandising. The GM will train, coach, counsel, hire, terminate and create a remarkable employee experience. This position is located in MOM’s stores.
Oversee all processes that contribute to the overall appearance and function of the store, including but not limited to: inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signage.
Conduct daily store walks–typically every 15 minutes–to evaluate systems and people to ensure delivery of a consistent and positive customer experience.
Provide leadership and motivation throughout the store to harness a culture that aligns with company core values, vision and strategy.
Create and uphold a culture of accountability through setting clear expectations and performance management.
Provide proper training for staff; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for appropriate solutions and/or coaching.
Review metrics and reporting to identify business trends (ie. sales and profitability, expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors).
Contribute to store improvement by conducting LT meetings, supporting the development of SOPs, initiatives and other change processes and putting out fires throughout the store as needed.
Maintain company customer service standards by ensuring purple cow metrics are being met, store appearance is prioritized, support culture/brand ambassadors and oversee service-levels in all departments.
Oversee productivity throughout the store by delegating responsibilities throughout the store, ensuring productivity standards are met and maintaining productivity metrics.
Manage the employee experience by remaining compliant with designated HR responsibilities and supporting efforts to maintain staff wellbeing and safety.
Complete MOM’s General Manager Development Program in order to successfully lead the store.
Resolves issues appropriately such as customer issues, data, maintenance, product concerns, and employee concerns.
Responsible for administrative tasks including timesheet/payroll management approvals/tasks.
Submit hiring/change in status/termination process.
Ensures the company's operational policies and procedures are followed within the store.
Effectively hire, coach, promote/demote, transfer, terminate and deliver corrective action plans to staff.
Responsible for proper cash handling.
Complete required training including HIVE modules.
Other duties as assigned.
