The General Manager oversees the distribution of Power Hand Tools and Hydraulic Presses in North America, based in the Detroit area. Responsibilities include leading and expanding a Detroit based team (sales, engineering, service support, and repair), expanding the customer base in industries such as Vehicles, Agriculture, and Construction, along with enhancing sales and engineering activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and provide timely resolutions to users and manufacturers.
- Travel to help expand the dealer network and to coordinate with national headquarters to grow a strong team (up to 50%).
- Collaborate with executive, sales, and engineering teams
- Exercise independent judgment to deliver satisfactory solutions to users.
- Proactively contact and visit prospective users to expand the customer base.
- Strengthen integration capabilities for Power Hand Tools and Hydraulic Press systems.
- Report and consult with senior management.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willingness to travel up to 50% locally and internationally.
- Led a team of 15+ direct reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 10-25 years of industry experience in manufacturing, especially in system integration.
- Effective documentation and communication of ideas, strategies, and solutions.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License and US Passport.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Bilingual in English and Japanese Plus.
- Military experience is a plus!
