Job description

Reporting to the Group Vice President, the General Manager (GM) is responsible for managing the overall performance of a location to include culture, revenue, profitability, performance, expenditures, and staffing through delegation of tasks and duties. They will lead, direct, manage and oversee each role in the office ensuring business development, revenue growth, efficiency, financial stability, and compliance with all franchise standards. The General Manager is a dynamic multifaceted position that plays a pivotal role in the development of their location in all facets of the business and the GM is expected to take extreme ownership in all areas of their location. Additionally, the GM is responsible for integrating our Core Value, Love (v.), into the culture of the franchise office: patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, respectfulness, forgiveness, honesty and commitment.
Responsible for leading the business with our 13 business fundamentals and the Growth Mindset.
Adopt the mindsets and actions of the fundamentals for self and the team.
Responsible for growing both top line sales and ODP (Owners' Discretionary Profit) and achieving the monthly/annual goals for both the top line growth and bottom-line profitability.
Assume ownership of meeting sales expectations and profitability targets by overseeing daily sales activities, both by Health Care Consultants (HCC) and personally. Additionally, manage expenses to achieve the set ODP expectations.
Engage in external sales initiatives and establish relationships with new client sources, including Referral Provider Network (RPNs), Physicians, and Assisted Living facilities, among others.
Focuses on the theme of Being Remarkable to Care Professionals and actively looks for ways to "improve upon their story". Focuses on Care Pro retention in their location by;
Holding themselves and their KPs accountable to build relationships with CPs by talking to CPs when they come into the office, holding office events, and brainstorms ways to appreciate CPs through recognition.
Achieve CP Retention goals.
Ensures performance in all functional areas of the business are at or above objectives by:
Monitoring and managing team performance against processes, metrics, auditing key processes.
Having a working knowledge of all functional areas of the businesses and key processes
Builds the administrative franchise team (recruit, hire, train, coach, develop staff) with the best talent for each role
Manage outcomes of all Key Player activities and direct changes that will drive achievement of office goals. Take corrective action on performance issues, celebrate successes, and set goals for upcoming periods.
Ensure all key player roles are working together in harmony to move the business forward. Where necessary, coach teamwork, cross training, and team dynamics to achieve required results, while maintaining our culture.
Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with referral sources in the community.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are implemented and communicated to all employees.
Conducts weekly team meetings with direct reports to review revenue overall business performance. Conduct monthly 1:1s with all Key Players ensuring pipelines are full in sales and CP acquisition and that excellence is happening in Staffing and Quality Assurance.
Work closely with the Group VP, VP of Finance and Vice President Human Resources to determine improvement opportunities for operational effectiveness and efficiency.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business-related field or commensurate experience
Solid business management skills, including P&L responsibility (End to End responsibilities within the Branch for Marketing, Sales, Operations, Distribution, Budgeting, Forecasting, etc.)
Proven results as a sales-minded leader, motivated by profitable sales growth
Able to build strong relationships, based on a consultative approach
Demonstrated success in team leadership, and getting work done effectively through teams
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to shift gears at any moment in the day
Organized and works with a sense of urgency
Willing to implement and follow standard processes and procedures
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with Key Players, Care Professionals, Referral Sources, and Clients.
Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
Must have the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound-judgment and good decision-making
Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
Must have the ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor.
Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
