General Manager

Barrier Beauties is looking for an General Manager. Barrier Beauties is a small business in Port Bolivar, TX. We are an Off Bottom Oyster Farm. We are one of the first Oyster farms in Texas as part of Texas Parks and Wildlife’s new Cultivated Oyster Mariculture program.

The position is located in Bolivar Texas near Galveston. We are willing to help you relocate if needed. No oyster aquaculture experience is required as we can train you but you must be proficient with boats already. A minimum of 3 years of management experience over a team of employees is required. The General Manager will report directly to the owner. The starting date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including harvesting, and inventory control, and management of team
- Ensure high-quality food handling and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to the staff, including training, coaching, and performance management
- Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels for efficient operations
- Maintain a positive a atmosphere for employees
- Collaborate with the owners on a daily basis to manage the farm

Skills:

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Experience servicing boats and knowledge of how to operate boats
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in computer applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
