General Maintenance - Washington Hilton

The historic is seeking a candidate for the General Maintenance position within their property operations team! This 1107-room property is within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan, with The White House and National Mall less than two miles away! As hotel General Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Ideal candidates for this position will have entry-level hotel maintenance experience in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and painting/drywall.

Shift Pattern: candidates should be able to work the AM, PM and overnight shifts - flexibility to work weekdays/weekends/holidays as needed.

Pay Rate: $32.85 per hour

What will I be doing?

As hotel General Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Inspect guestrooms, public spaces and heart-of-the-house areas for needed and preventive maintenance to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel
• Perform a variety of repair, maintenance and cleaning tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC, mechanical and carpentry
• Complete daily guest room preventative maintenance assignments
• Maintain a detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments
• Demonstrate skill in the use of related tools (including both hand and electric tools)
• Possess a basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment
