About the Company
Fibertex Nonwovens is expanding its activities in North America and has the following opening at our Ingleside, IL facility.
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining General Ledger entries and reconciling financial statements. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that ledger data is accurate and precise. This position reports to the Director of Finance and will support both sites in SC and IL.
Essential job responsibilities
- Ensures data accuracy
- Analyse financial information
- Supports monthly and annual close processes and procedures
- Reconciles accounts
- Prepares journal entries
- Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
- Supports auditor in conducting internal and external audits
- Assist in tax preparation and filing activities
- Assist in the budget process as needed
- Ensure implementation and monitoring of internal controls
- Interacts with various levels of NA leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in GL Accounting in the manufacturing area
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills; must be able to communicate clearly with all levels
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software
- Some travel may be occasionally required

Physical and Other Requirements
Work is performed in an office environment with frequent contact with others. Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity, occasional lifting, and the use of office equipment.
