We are seeking a Polisher to join our team. Responsible for grinding, sanding, and polishing objects made out of metal. Uses cloth, hand tools, and power tools to ensure a smooth surface. Inspects for flaws or cracks.
Polisher is responsible for:
- Grind, sand, and polish objects according to specifications.
- Prepare surface for further finishing.
- Mark cracks and splits for repair and correct defects.
- Select files according to materials and shape of workpieces.
- Interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Measure dimensions and equipment.
- Test workpieces in working machinery.
- Use chisels and scrapers to smooth product.
- Load or remove workpieces from work tables.
- Record product and processing data.
- Maintain or repair equipment.
- Sharpen abrasive grinding tools.
- Apply solutions or chemicals to surfaces.
- Follow guidelines and templates.
Qualifications:
- Not required - we will train if willing to learn - experience grinding, polishing and blending stainless steel equipment,
- Knowledge of various grinding tools, (angle grinders, die grinders, electric and pneumatic.)
- Knowledge of grinding disc grits and grinding stone grits.
- Candidate should possess hand tools that reflect prior metal finishing experience
- Grinding and polishing inside corners, outside corners, miters, field welds, and blending

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 58 per week
