Job Description

Carlsen Precision Manufacturing, in Rome, GA, is an expansion of the 100 year old, successful family business, Larsen & Shaw Limited of Ontario, Canada. A leading manufacturer of top-quality custom and standard continuous hinges, architectural products, custom metal stampings and laser cut parts.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the General Labourer is responsible for assisting the production team in assembly, plating, shipping and production.

This position is permanent full time with availability on the Day Shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Production, Plating and Shipping, as required.
• Responsible for following operating procedures and special instructions on shop orders.
• Perform minor machine adjustments and in-process inspection and signing of first-off parts
• Responsible for reporting of non-conformance in raw material & process to supervisor and participation in corrective action
• Reading drawings, assembly of parts and operating equipment and machinery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail and ability to follow work processes
• Some computer skills
• A desire to grow with the company
• Willingness to learn and work in a team-centered environment
• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating presses, preferred
• Driver’s license, preferred
