General Laborer positions in Camak, GA!!

Pay Rate: $13.00/hr.

Schedule: 1st Shift - 7a-5p Mon-Thur; 7a-3p Fri.

Job Summary: The General Laborer will be responsible for daily tasks from machine center and workload.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handle boards and stack into packs.
• Sorts boards based on thickness
• Place boards into mailing machine without interrupting machine process.
• Correct orientation of boards before being stacked.
• Clean machine centers during downtime.
• Able to use basic hand tools (hammer, prybar, broom, etc.)
• Disassemble pallets and remove nails.
• Sweep areas around machine centers.
• Ability to do minor problem solving.
• Have general knowledge of safety in the workplace.
• Drives a culture of constant improvement, identifying and implementing changes to increase productivity and efficiency of service.
• Enforces Sizemores policies and procedures as needed.
• Additional duties assigned, as necessary

Qualifications:

• Experienced with wood products or pallets preferred.
• Experience with measuring tools and basic hand tools preferred.
• Experience working with large machines preferred.
• Good work ethic and dependability- ability to be on time, stay on task.
• Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor. Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy when dealing with any person no matter the circumstances.
• Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potential stressful and time sensitive situations.
• Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity. Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions:

• Majority of work will be performed in a climate-controlled building during the normal business day.
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs with no assistance.
• Must stand for long periods in steel toe shoes/boots on concrete floors.
• Must wear all PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection).
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. continuously.
• Good hand eye coordination.
