General Description
Under the guidance of a Section Manager, the General Clerk will be responsible for various clerical and administration duties, including filing, reporting, record keeping, and data management, to support the NASA Environmental and Medical Contract (NEMCON).
How You Will Fulfill Your Mission
- Generate, organize, maintain, and transmit a range of digital and manual files, records, reports, schedules, inventories, libraries, and databases.
- Perform reviews of reports, emails, and paperwork for spelling, formatting, and typographical errors
- Secures and protects the privacy of documents (e.g., Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), by adding applicable CUI markings to emails and documents, and ensuring they are transmitted appropriately.
- Responsible for conducting backup and system purges, as well as annotating files.
- Attends and participates in various meetings, providing input and assisting as necessary.
- Create reports and perform routine analyses of data by retrieving information in specified report form, as requested.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the progress of departmental commitments and suspense items; report on past due projects as directed and convey project or process commitment requirements to departmental personnel or others.
- Perform work compliant with Federal, State, local, NASA/USSF policies and procedures.

Specific Knowledge/Certification Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience performing clerical/administrative work.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Programs
- Demonstrated experience in record keeping, administrative and clerical routines and procedures.
- Established strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government contracts.
- Experience working with Maximo.

- Travel: A low to moderate amount of travel away from office may be required, typically not beyond KSC, CCSFS or PSFB work locations.
