Job Title:General Clerk II 39204- John Deere
Description:
- Under general supervision, performs clerical office duties such as document processing, report preparation, and data retrieval and filing;
- Responds to standard inquiries referring complex requests to appropriate staff members;
- Analyzes information of intermediate difficulty using individual judgment in the performance of tasks
- Researches or resolves discrepancies following prescribed procedures; and updates and maintains process documentation.
Duties:
- Retrieves records or data and distributes information as appropriate in order to provide timely and accurate information to department members or external customers.
- Prepares and maintains documentation of department processes (i.e. number of transactions processed, phone calls received, forms processed, etc.) and runs reports or updates forms according to defined procedures.
- Contacts customers outside of the work area and receives incoming inquiries;
- Responds to standard inquiries and refers complex requests to appropriate staff members.
- Produces written correspondence in response to customer inquiries. Compiles data necessary to prepare files or create standard and special reports using defined formats.
- Verifies the accuracy and completeness of data submissions and forms;
- Enters data into appropriate system or processes forms according to standard procedures.
- Performs analysis of basic or intermediate nature on information received, and researches or resolves discrepancies following prescribed procedures.
Shift timings:
- 3rd shift position (10:30 pm to 7:00 am) with possible overtime, both before/after shift start/end times and weekends 7-3:30 (some holidays and OT required)
General responsibilities/description:
- Responsible for the flow of material through unloading, sorting, verifying, labeling, picking and/or shipping parts and/or products from the internal warehouse to the factory and customers.
- Responsible for the receipting in of purchased parts, parts returned from dealers and/or factory or local supplier parts. Functions in a lead role in the absence of the supervisor.
- May climb a 8 ft ladder to count parts.
Major Duties:
- Coordinate the procuring, expediting, producing, and delivering of material on time
- Provide support to meet all production schedules including complete goods, inter-factory, and service parts
- Work with material flow teams in establishing root cause for material shortages along with proposing corrective actions
- Communicate and interface with manufacturing management, manufacturing engineering, wage workforce and material flow support team
- Deliver and supervise the delivery of a range of warehouse and store tasks to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded following established procedures.
- Manage inventory for a site or factory, with guidance when discrepancies or issues are identified, following existing procedures.
- Complete packaging tasks, cultivate an understanding of packaging needs, and develop ideas for improvements.
- Schedule and supervise the transportation of goods and supplies, following established procedures to ensure on-time delivery.
