Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern/co-op! You'll build leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role, working on challenging, real-world problems and solve for what the world needs. You'll build relationships with interns/co-ops and leaders. And you'll prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our fantastic leadership programs or a direct hire opportunity.

You will gain broad exposure to manufacturing with an array of opportunities to apply Lean and Six Sigma principles in a shop operations environment and improve state-of-the-art manufacturing methods. Examples of experiences include conventional & non-conventional machining, welding & joining, CNC programming, repair & overhaul, and lean manufacturing. Ultimately, you'll be placed taking your preferences into account while also considering your major, year of schooling, and business needs at the time of placement. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing,

  • Supporting manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or overall engine assembly,

  • Maintaining high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and the application of statistical controls

  • Ensuring safe work conditions via Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives

  • Applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations in our increasingly complex and demanding environment

  • Supporting delivery efforts for sourced components by working with our GE shops and suppliers while building project management skills, negotiation skills, and business acumen

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prior GE Aerospace internship experience required

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale

  • Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below)

  • Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations

  • Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available

Benefits:

Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed. Relocation support and housing assistance is available for those who relocate to a new city.
