Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. The Gas Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to gas equipment repair and maintenance. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry.
Duties:
- Conduct inspections and repairs on gas equipment, including logic controllers and distributed control systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on gas equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with gas equipment
- Operate heavy equipment for maintenance and repair purposes
- Assist with the installation of new gas equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
Experience:
- Previous experience in gas equipment repair and maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with distributed control systems and logic controllers
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for maintenance purposes
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Complete gas meter calibrations, plate sizing, and inspections.
- Review monthly measurement data, gas analysis samples, and reports.
- Set up and troubleshoot cellular and radio communications. (Red Lion DA50, DA70, Signet, Sierra Wireless cell modems).
- Communication set up, testing, and troubleshooting Modbus TCP / IP 4-20 ma.
- Custody transfer allocations and witness meter calibrations.
- AMI Analyzer (O2, H2S, Dew Point) installations, commissioning, calibrating, maintenance, and repairs.
- Document and file meter calibration reports, gas analysis reports, analyzer reports.
- Analyze and troubleshoot measurement discrepancies.
- Upload/ install programs into Total Flow, flow computers.
- Establish/ connect communications between field flow computers and LM SCADA system (ignition).
Familiar with working within Total Flow PLC’s, AMI analyzers and have a good understanding of troubleshooting and establishing communications.
