We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Garden Center Sales Associate u nder supervision, assists in the processing of retail sales and transactions. Sell merchandise, provides exceptional customer service at the Garden Center, and assists in the stocking and restocking of shelves/sales areas. Assists in maintenance of inventory control and product maintenance (cleaning, trimming, watering, etc.) Provide assistance as directed in non-technical areas such as security, and merchandise sacking, and may handle routine telephone inquiries as required.
Applicants must have the ability to work Monday - Saturday 16 hours per week.

- Sells merchandise, advises customers on merchandise price, features and/or on fees and services.
- Assists individual customers in the ordering of merchandise.
- Provides assistance in receiving and display of merchandise in accordance with specific instructions and established policies and procedures; ensures that displays are in accordance with established standards.
- Provides assistance as directed with security, merchandise sacking, and/or related routine floor duties.
- Operates computerized cash register to conduct sales transactions; handles cash, and make changes as required.
- Answers telephones and handles routine customer telephone inquiries.
- Performs general floor maintenance and housekeeping; monitors and maintains the condition and safekeeping of merchandise and/or rental equipment.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic cash management procedures.
- Ability to take orders and impart information over the telephone.
