Job Description
Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Media Coordinator/Game Tester role with our client in the entertainment industry located in Burbank, CA.
This position will work under the DC Interactive Creative Director to help shepherd and manage current active live-games and current/future games in development.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Carrying out test plans on pre-release, and current active live-games versions of software
· Assessing product functionality against official quality standards
· Researching and documenting product defects and violations
· Logging issues for development team review in concise written report formats
· Providing user feedback that can help shape the end product
· Applying knowledge of basic to intermediate networking principles and online console, PC, and mobile gaming / functionality elements
· Collaborating on miscellaneous QA test process related tasks / projects
· Assisting with Research (art, story, character)
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma REQUIRED
· Bachelors Degree Nice to have
· MUST HAVE a strong knowledge of DC and previous work in the games industry.
· Experience with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Confluence, 5th Kind, Asana)
· Experience utilizing PC’s for gaming
· Firm understanding of the game production process
· Understanding of pipeline approvals
· Familiarity accessing debugging systems
· Understanding of IP
· Experience researching graphic novel characters/art/stories
· Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and efficiently.
· Must be effective under aggressive timelines and high-pressure situations.
· Solution-oriented with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude around problems and issues we identify daily.
· High integrity, honesty and accountability.
· Strong work ethic: self-motivated, excellent work quality, commitment and follow-through is a must.
