You Are:
UST is searching for a Game Tester who will execute test cases with accuracy and prevent incorrect product shipment by reporting business critical bugs. Position works under supervision.
The Opportunity :
- Complete the assigned test grid without deviation from given test steps.
- Determine product failures and report in test repository and bug tracker.
- Find 'out of box' product issues.
- Learn technology, business domain, system domain individually and as recommended by the project/account.
- Execute Adhoc scenarios as required.
- File P1/Showstopper issues
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization on the GPU and/or CPU.
- Familiarity with tools such as Graphics Performance Analyzer or VTune
- Understanding of the Microsoft Windows architecture.
- Hardware setup knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Previous experience as a video Game Tester. laying the game to completion.
- Completing all side quests and exploring all levels.
- Passion for gaming.
- Making a note of all glitches and bugs in the game.
- Demonstrated initiative, ability to find a problem/fix a problem, and strong follow through. Attention to detail to be able to follow test protocol but the ability to see the big picture to look for and identify additional issues.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington as set forth below.
Role Location: California
Compensation Range: $48,000-$72,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
