We are looking for a Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team Resthaven Funeral Home located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Our Funeral Directors work with client families to arrange memorial services, presenting all options and ensuring experiences of the highest quality.

Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 a year

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Resthaven Memory Gardens - 500 Southwest 104th Street Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Funeral Director/Embalmer/Arranger.
• Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License and/or the ability to obtain licenses or application by endorsement in the state where business is located.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

Job Duties:

• Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized funeral and memorial services.
• Ensures timely and appropriate document filling in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conducts and attends services regularly.
• Maintains open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files.
• Understand and implements company provided training.
• Works on-call/first call with compassion and attention to detail.
• Utilizes proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and complete necessary forms.
• Leads employees to ensure high standard of professionalism and service level is achieved.
• Work as a part of a fast paced, highly collaborative Team of FDs with little direct supervision
• Participation in events alongside community groups and/or organizations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting; however, some duties may be performed outdoors. Outdoor duties may require exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity and must be willing to work safely and comply with the Company’s safety procedures, including wearing any personal protective equipment that may be required.
Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and may be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
