Job Summary:
The Maintenance Department is currently seeking a qualified individual to maintain the water systems and landscape projects throughout the Park as a Full Time Water Treatment Technician. This position falls under our agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO, District Lodge No. 947 and would be subject to the terms of the contract.
Activities include:
- Maintaining proper chemical levels in all water systems.
- Maintaining and operating high rate sand filter systems.
- Chemical inventory and ordering.
The ideal candidate must possess:
- Ability to operate computerized controllers.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to work around chlorine and muriatic acid.
- 3 to 4 years experience in Water Treatment.
- Current Class 2 License (Swimming Pool Technician) from the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
- Knowledge of Health Department Codes and Regulations.
- A valid California Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
