Radiology Technician Job Duties
- Use of CR x-ray equipment
- Operation of C-Arm for procedures as required
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays according to established imaging protocols
- Protect patients and staff by practicing radiation safety and use of ALARA standards
- Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physician, physician assistant
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and immediately report any issues to supervisor
- Maintain x-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies
- Work closely with the physician and physician assistant to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients
- Trains new employees as needed, as well as training students as they rotate through the facility
Additional Job Duties:
- Assist medical assistants with patient intake, suture &/or staple removal, and drawing up injections as needed per the provider
- Training in casting and splint application/removal
- Training in bracing application
